The PandaDoc alternative for tracked proposals, not e-signatures.
PandaDoc is a full document workflow: editor, e-signature, quotes, payments. If what you need is to send a proposal you wrote with AI and know when the client reads it, you may not need the rest.

The quick verdict
Two tools, two jobs
When the proposal and the contract live in one flow: templates, quotes, e-signature, payment collection and CRM sync, across a sales team.
When the proposal is a page you built in Claude or ChatGPT, and the job is to send it on your own brand, keep it private, know when it lands and get the answer on the page. One flat price, no seats.
In their words
How PandaDoc describes itself
Quoted from PandaDoc’s own site on September 24, 2026.
“From creation to signature to payment, PandaDoc is a 360-degree document management solution that helps your teams get more done, faster.”
“For sales proposals and integrated agreement workflows.”
That is a platform for the whole agreement. Its free plan is pitched “for small businesses who need professional eSign without the price tag”, and its paid plans list “Real-time tracking and notifications”. So tracking is not the gap. The question is whether you want to rebuild an AI-written proposal inside a document editor to get it.

What Pagelive does
Tracked proposals, without the document platform
Write the proposal where you already work, publish it as a link, and get the signal you actually wait for.
Know when it is read
An email when the proposal is opened, with how long they read. With a verified email or a recipient link, you see who it was.
Your domain, your brand
The link lives on your own domain, with the Pagelive badge removed on Solo.
The answer on the page
The client comments on a line, suggests the exact wording, and presses Approve or Request changes. Claude reads the comments and revises the page.
Revise at the same link
Change the scope or the price and publish again. The client’s link stays the same, and version history keeps each round.
Private by default
Password, email gate or view-once link. Every page is noindex and served apart from your account.
Publish from Claude
With the Pagelive connector, “publish this” in a Claude chat returns the tracked link.
Honest answer
When PandaDoc is the better fit
If you need legally binding signatures, priced quotes from a product catalog, payment collection or approval workflows tied to your CRM, a document platform earns its per-seat price and Pagelive does not do those things. Pagelive earns its keep when the proposal is a live page you built with AI, and what you need after sending is to know it landed, who read it, what they commented and whether they approved.

PandaDoc alternative FAQ
For one job, yes: sending a proposal and knowing when the client reads it. PandaDoc covers much more, including e-signatures, quotes, payments and CRM workflows. If you only use it to send proposals and watch for the open, Pagelive does that job for an AI-built proposal at a flat price.
No. When the client needs to sign, use an e-signature tool for the contract. Many people send the proposal as a tracked Pagelive link and the contract for signature once the client says yes.
Yes. Publish the proposal as a Pagelive link and you get an email when it is opened, reading time for each visit, unique viewers, country and which days. Add a verified email, or a recipient link for each person, if you need to know who opened it.
Yes, on Solo and Team. Approve and Request changes sit in the bar above the page: one decision per reader, changeable, marked with the version they saw, and a request for changes carries a note. You get an email for each. It records a decision; it is not a legally binding signature, so the contract still goes through your e-sign tool.
Yes. They do different jobs. The proposal goes out as a Pagelive page, and the agreement goes through your signing tool when you get the yes.
Pagelive is priced flat, not per seat. Free for 2 public pages. Solo is $15/mo or $150/yr, and Team is $49/mo per workspace for up to 10 people. PandaDoc lists its Starter and Business plans per seat; check pandadoc.com/pricing for current numbers.
No. A Pagelive link opens in any browser. They only see a password or email prompt if you add one.
