How it works

From HTML file to live link in three steps

Free HTML hosting means putting an HTML file online at a real URL without paying for a server or a domain. With Pagelive you upload or paste your HTML and it’s hosted free on a permanent pagelive.site link: 14 days of the full plan when you sign up, then up to 5 pages on a free account, each with its own view count, and no credit card required.

1

Upload HTML or paste your code

Drop an .html file on the publish box or paste the markup straight from your editor or your Claude chat. No Git, no build step, no config file.

2

Preview before publishing

See the page rendered exactly as visitors will, so you catch a broken layout or a missing close-tag before anyone else does. Need just a quick render? Use the free HTML viewer.

3

Publish to a permanent link

One click and your page is live on a real, shareable URL (yourpage.pagelive.site/…), not just a preview. Update the page anytime; the link never changes.

Upload HTML

How to upload an HTML file, no server needed

Putting an HTML file online used to mean renting a server or wrestling a hosting panel. Uploading it here is one drag and drop:

1

Grab your .html file

Export it from your editor, save it from your Claude or ChatGPT chat, or use any HTML file on your machine. A self-contained file (inline CSS, scripts, images as data URLs) works best.

2

Drag and drop it on the publish box

Drop the file on the publish box above, or click to browse and select it. No server to rent, no FTP, no Git, no build step. The upload is the deploy.

3

Send the link instead of the file

The page is live at a permanent URL the moment the upload finishes. Need to share an HTML file with a client or teammate? Send the link: it opens in any browser, and you see when it’s opened.

Analytics

See who opened it

A free host gives you a URL and goes quiet. A Pagelive link reports back, so when you send a proposal, a demo, or a one-pager, you know whether it was seen.

Signal
What it tells you
Opens
Whether the link was actually opened, the difference between “no reply” and “never seen.”
Unique viewers
How many different people looked, so a reread doesn’t look like a crowd.
Referrer
Where the open came from: your email, a forward, or a link shared internally.

Free pages show a live view count. The full set (unique viewers, dwell time, referrers, by-day and country) comes with Founding. Either way we record every visit from day one and never delete it, so upgrading later fills in the whole history.

The difference

Not a public web page

The easy free way to publish HTML usually makes your page a public web page, and most free hosts let Google index it by default. That’s fine for a throwaway demo. It’s not fine for a client proposal, a pricing page, or anything confidential.

Pagelive is built the other way around: every page is noindex by default (we tell Google not to list it) and it’s served separately from your account and billing, so a published page can’t reach your private data.

A typical free host

  • Public web page by default
  • Google can index it and anyone can find it in search
  • No password gate, no view analytics

A Pagelive link

  • Noindex by default, won’t show up on Google
  • Served from an isolated content plane
  • Optional password · opens and viewer analytics

Pagelive runs on Cloudflare’s SOC 2 Type II infrastructure, with an EU data region. How we keep pages private →

Free HTML hosting FAQ

Yes, really. You can publish right here on this page with no signup, and the page stays live for 7 days unless you claim it with a free account. Claiming signs you up, and every new account starts with 14 days of the full plan, no card and nothing to cancel; after that you keep 5 live pages free forever, each with its own view count, and nothing you already published is taken down. The full analytics (unique viewers, dwell time, referrers, by-day and country) come with Founding ($7/mo, was $15), along with custom domains and custom slugs.
