Digital sales room

A digital sales room for small teams: one branded page per deal.

The idea behind deal room software is good: one current place for the deal, and a view of who is reading it. You can have that without a per-seat platform. Publish one private page per deal, update it after every call, and see when the buying side opens it.

What it is

What a digital sales room actually is

A digital sales room is one shared link per deal. Behind it sits everything the buying side needs: the proposal, pricing, a demo recording, answers to the questions from your calls, security documents, and who does what by when. Instead of a deal spread across a dozen email threads and six attachment versions, there is one current place both sides work from.

Two things make it more than a shared folder. It is written as a story, so a stakeholder who missed every call can catch up alone. And it is instrumented: the seller sees who opened it and for how long, which an emailed attachment never tells you.

Why it exists

You sell to one person. A committee buys.

Most business purchases are decided by a group: your champion, their boss, finance, maybe legal and IT. You meet one or two of them. Everyone else sees your deal as forwarded attachments and second-hand summaries, which leads to two familiar problems.

Version fog: the finance lead reads the pricing you revised two weeks ago and anchors on the wrong number. Silence: after you send the proposal you can’t tell a deal that is moving through the committee from one that died in an inbox, so you follow up on a schedule instead of a signal. One current page with a read signal fixes both. When a new reader appears, your champion just forwarded it upward, and that is the moment to call.

The pattern

One page per deal, updated in place

The room starts as the proposal. After the second call it gains the revised scope and answers for procurement. By signature it holds the contract summary and the onboarding plan. The buyer only ever forwards one link.

Decisions on the page

The committee answers on the page

Your champion’s boss asks about the SLA on the SLA paragraph. Finance suggests the exact payment terms. Each reader approves or requests changes, marked with the version they saw, and Claude updates the room at the same link.

What Pagelive gives the room

Everything a deal page needs

Your brand, your domain

The room lives at deals.yourstudio.com/acme, not on a platform’s address, with the Pagelive badge removed on Solo.

Know who is reading

An email on every open, with reading time. With a verified email, or a recipient link for each stakeholder, a new reader shows up by name.

Keep it private

A password, an email gate limited to the buyer’s domain, or both. Every page is noindex by default.

One link, always current

Update the page after every call. The buyer’s link never changes, and version history keeps each round.

Next steps on the page

Add a plain form for “let’s proceed” or “book the call”. Replies land in your inbox, next to the page’s stats.

Built in Claude

Write the room in Claude or ChatGPT and publish it by asking, with the Pagelive connector. Revisions go to the same link.

Honest answer

When a sales room platform is the better fit

  • A sales team with many deals at once, run from a CRM: a platform’s automation, templates and team reporting pay for the seats.
  • A consultant or small team with a handful of real deals a quarter: one tracked page per deal gives the buyer the same experience where it counts, with no per-seat bill.
  • Due diligence, fundraising or audits: neither. That is a data room job.
  • Either way: a room updated after every conversation beats a prettier one that froze at version one.

Pagelive has no CRM sync, no mutual action plan features and no e-signature. It is the page, the gate, the read signal and each stakeholder’s comments and approval, at a flat price. An approval on the page is a decision, not a signature.

Pricing

What it costs

Solo is $15/mo or $150/yr with unlimited deal pages, passwords, email gates, comments and approvals, an alert on every open and your own domain. Team is $49/mo per workspace for up to 10 people, one flat price.

Digital sales room FAQ

One shared link a seller gives a buyer, holding everything about the deal: proposal, pricing, a demo recording, answers from the calls, security documents and next steps. Both sides work from the same current page instead of scattered attachments, and the seller can see who on the buying side engages with it.
