Free tool
Free HTML file viewer
Paste your code, or drag and drop an .html file, and see it render instantly. When it looks right, publish it as a tracked, password-protected link.
An HTML file viewer opens and renders an .html file without a server, an editor, or any setup. Drag and drop the file — or paste the code — and the page renders instantly in a sandboxed frame, with desktop and mobile widths. Free, no signup, and nothing you load leaves your browser.
Two ways in
Paste code or upload an HTML file
Paste your code
Drop a full HTML document — markup, inline CSS, even scripts — into the editor and the preview updates live as you type. Great for quick edits and tweaks.
Upload a file
Drag and drop an .html file — or click to browse and pick one from your machine. It’s read straight into the editor in your browser — the file never leaves your device to render the preview.
For AI-built pages
Preview Claude- and AI-generated HTML
Built it in Claude, ChatGPT, or v0? Paste the artifact HTML here to check it renders before you send it. The sandboxed preview shows you exactly what your client will see — no setup, no local dev server.
The next step
From preview to a secure, tracked link
A viewer just shows you the page. Pagelive turns it into a link you can send — branded, password-protected, and noindex by default, so it won’t show up on Google the way the easy free way usually does. And you see exactly who opened it.
Password protection
Lock confidential pages with a PBKDF2-hashed password we can’t read — enforced at the edge.
Opens & dwell analytics
See opens, unique viewers, and how long each person actually read — so you follow up at the right moment.
Noindex & isolated plane
Pages are noindex by default and served from a content plane walled off from your dashboard and billing.
HTML viewer FAQ
Is it free? +
Yes. The HTML viewer is completely free — paste or upload as much HTML as you like, no signup and no limits.
Do you store my HTML? +
No. The preview runs entirely in your browser inside a sandboxed iframe. Nothing you paste or upload is sent to or stored on a server.
Can I view an HTML file without opening it in a browser? +
You don’t need to save the file and double-click it, and you don’t need a local server or an editor. Drag and drop the .html file — or paste the code — into the viewer above and it renders right here in a sandboxed frame, so you see the page without leaving this tab.
How do I view an HTML file on my phone? +
Open this page on your phone, tap “Upload file,” and pick the .html file from your downloads — the preview renders directly in your mobile browser. On desktop, use the Mobile toggle above the preview to check how the page looks at phone width before you share it.
Can I share what I preview? +
Yes. When the page looks right, publish it as a link — a clean, branded URL you can send to a client instead of an attachment.
Will my page show up on Google? +
Not when you publish it with Pagelive. Published pages are noindex by default — the robots meta and X-Robots-Tag headers tell search engines not to list it, unlike the easy free way most hosts work.
